Just learned of Greg’s passing.  Great guy.  Enjoyed working together at VCS.  He is missed.  Love to Donna and rest of the generate.

My earliest recollection of Greg was at my grandfather's funeral in the early 60's. I must have been 5 or 6 and my older cousin seemed much taller, but probably less scary, than all of the other adults in the room. Some sixty years later, I can still remember that he lifted me up so I could see into Grandpa Green's casket.

Greg was closer in age to my older sister, Marianne, and I'm sure that they shared many more memories growing up together during a time when our families were closer. Only later in life did I have much occasion to visit with Greg and his wife Donna. I'm sorry to say that we we lived so far away, and didn't share more time.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Donna, her children and grandchildren as they mourn Greg's passing. I sincerely hope that their thoughts are full of all the best memories of his life.

The Gowdy's at the big hole in the ground.

My condolences to the Gowdy family from a fellow Burton Third Bomber.  I'll point out that "Gowdo" was a teammate and stalwart on our Burton House (very successful) intramural football team.  He anchored our offensive line as a center.  Greg was also one of the cast of characters that made Burton Third such a great place to live on the MIT campus.  He may be gone but is certainly not forgotten.  RIP old friend.
