Dear Kimberly, we lost track through the years, but when you were born My wife Donna and I was made your god parent's. And although we all went in many different directions over the years, your mom would come and see us and had always stayed in touch with Donna of whom she would always refer to as her sister and that she loved dearly I assure you, and I was fortunate to have had her many times call me like a big brother!

So many great stories of which it would be fun to tell you, but the one thing that was always a constant was how much she loved you, and I want you to know that I felt blessed to have known her.

We met her when she was only 16 I had been friends with your dad for years at that time, and I can remember so well that she was the first person I had ever met that was a true valley girl,” oh my god” she would say. She truly was something to be around always with that huge big smile!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out anytime you would like, I only wish I could be there along with all so many people who loved your mom, to console you in this time of your loss!

God Bless you, and much love Kimberly.

Your real god Dad,

Les Trisler 💙💐

'My English Sister'...

That's what Kris called me.

My heart is broken that my pen friend, Kristyne passed away on Friday. 💔

We found each other when we were both 10 years old and have written (yes, snail mail every two weeks in the late 70s/80s/90s), emailed, Facebook messaged and called each other into the noughties until just a few weeks ago, 46 years of the most incredible friendship. 💝

We met twice, first when we were 17, (two weeks in California, I was so lucky!) and then aged 32, we met up in Memphis for two days. There I met her two beautiful girls in the flesh, after Kris had shared so, so many photographs of them from babies to growing into beautiful young women, she loved you so much, Kimberly and Kyleigh, and she was bursting with pride and joy every time she talked or wrote to me about you. She had the craziest nick names for everyone, my kids were the moppets and Olivia, who carries Kristynes name as her middle name, was later 'sweat pea'.

I was blessed to get to know Kris' wider family when I visited the US. Her Mom Judi, Step dad Bruce, her Aunt Sue, Uncle Butch and all her cousins, even meeting cousin Jon here in Manchester, performing with his band Reel Big Fish.

We have had the most magnificent connection constantly across the pond. A link of the love of friendship beating constantly over the ocean. We've been through births, marriages, death and divorces together as we've navigated our interwined adult lives together, and Kris was always there to support me through thick and thin. Sadly, Kris suffered with her physical health for the last few decades but she was always my cheerleader on all my adventures and she told me often she vicariously lived through them.

She always sent me such beautiful gifts, I've photographed some of my treasured items from the past and the most recent ones.

She had a mad sense of humour, a fiesty, crazy lady who found treasure in the smallest flowers, beloved pets - her dogs, chickens, ducks, pony next door and the many stunning sunsets over the mountain views she could see directly from her little small holding in Colorado.

I am bereft, tears spring to my eyes as I write this part. I have been so very blessed to have been loved by this strong, magnificent woman who has truly enriched my life. I will forever have a place in my heart especially for her. Now she is free of her physical pain and has found her peace 🕊.

Love you Kris, till we meet again xx 💞

I knew Kris in high school. Wow! Seems like yesterday we were hanging out in the 200 quad at Quartz Hill High School. That girl had quite the vocabulary. I guess from the gazillion romance novels she used to read. She was one smart cookie and even taught me what the word “suffice” means. As in “There ain’t much ketsup in this bottle.” Her response, “You’ll suffice.” I had to look it up. Anyway, her family had a Great Dane that was as tall as me, kinda intimidating, but nice. Pretty much like Kris (very intelligent, but nice). I enjoyed sharing some of this ride on Earth with her. Maybe Heaven has a 200 Quad and we can meet up there again someday. It’s been nice thinking back and reflecting on her life. I celebrate you, Kris Bledsoe!

I met Kris approximately 2001 when I married and we lived in Rowlett ! My husband and her husband were best friends and that open the door to me meeting my best friend! She was a very kindhearted, loving, super intelligent very intuitive person! She loved her children dearly. I watched her stay up many many nights making costumes and crafts for the kids and I was so impressed of how creative she was. She and I were best friends for a long time. It’s funny we might not ever talk every day when we could pick up the phone and pick up where we left off. I will miss our conversations. I will miss our talks. I will miss her deeply and dearly ….my prayers go out to you and her family and just know your mom loved you very much, I’m always here for you. Please know that! My heart is just broken!

Love,

Le

Kayleigh & Kimberly,

I am so sorry to hear this news.  Your Mom's move to Colorado gave me a chance to know her better after years of separation.   She was a kind and loving niece.  Hope this small donation helps you girls.  She talked of you often and loved you very much.

Love, Aunt Joyce
