Kristopher Austin Jones, 46, of Firestone, CO, passed away on February 12, 2023. Kristopher was born in Denver, Colorado on April 21st, 1976, the bicentennial year. After graduating from Arvada West High School in 1995, he went on to study Outdoor Education at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat. He left to pursue his love of snowboarding and was featured on a Warren Miller Burton snowboarding video in 1996. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. His mother Cindy taught him the value of always putting family first. Him and his brother Brian, were partners in crime and were very protective of their little sister Haley. He was unendingly proud of his son Aiden born in 2009. He was a devoted father who would have done anything for his son. Anyone who knew Kristopher knew that he was the most loving father and loyal friend anyone could ask for. If he loved you he treated you as family. In 2015, he met Rachel Pollock, and they wed in 2020. Kristopher was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Kris was a hardworking Journeyman Electrician in the Oil and Gas field and build a brotherhood of friends throughout his career.

Kristopher is survived by his mother Cynthia Burghardt, brother Brian Jones, sister Haley Jones, son Aiden Jones, wife Rachel Jones, and step daughter Rheannon Carroll. He was predeceased by his grandmother Barbara Peterson, grandfather Norman Peterson, Uncle Anton Peterson, and Stepfather Lee Burghardt. 

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Archdiocese of Denver, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. There will be a memorial service held on March 11, 2023 at 11:00am at Archdiocese of Denver, with a reception to follow. A celebration of life will take place at 2:30pm at Rockabillies Bar and Grill 12363 West 64th Ave., Arvada, CO 80004.
