Kris really looked up to his Uncle Sam. ❤️ Dad showed us his “drills” from the army when the 3 of us got into trouble. But we thought it was so funny, especially Kristopher. He smiled the whole time. And when Dad would say “10 more push-ups!” Kristopher would grin at me, so excited for the challenge and the little game we were all in on. I remember Dad teaching him how to use a compass when we were hiking in Virginia and Kristopher was so proud about what he had learned that he went around showing everyone else how to use it too.

My 1st nephew, Kris, I am so grateful for having you in my life. Over the years you and your cousins, Khrysgiana and Jeremiah, had so much fun together. We made memories playing in the backyard on Aragon, climbing trees at Spanish Landing, trips to Disneyland and the zoo and Sea World, trick-or-treating, dying Easter eggs, opening Christmas presents, birthday parties at the bay, climbing in the bamboo forest, hiking, watching movies, walking puppies at Grossmont Center, and so much more. I cherish all of the times we would be running around and I was listening to you and your cousins in the backseat having the funniest conversations and singing songs. I can still hear your voice saying, Wakalaka!, so high pitched, it was so funny! Most recently, I cherish our more serious conversations. The only reason I understand how deep Eminem's lyrics are, is because of you, and I truly appreciate that! I've always loved rap music, but you made me listen more carefully and appreciate certain artists' work much more. I loved every time you shared your amazing lyrics with me and explained the deep meaning. You were so talented. The part that hurts the most is that I will never be able to see you again, to read new lyrics you write, to hear new music you create, and to make more memories with you. That part is the hardest. However, I know that you have found peace and that you will never have to struggle again. I miss you so much and love you so much. -Your Auntie Jessica

He smiled all the time. He would always ask me how I was doing. Always willing to help. So the good in everyone and everything.

Kristopher wrote really well. He wrote this poem in 2014
Dear Heavenly Father, for in the beginning my life was a book. A book written of self centered things, and now I come to You, so I ask of You to tare out the pages of that old evil book, and take a new book with blank pages, and in those new pages, start em off with I m born again in Jesus Christ, I was lost but now found, I was blind but You allow me to see, and now I’m a child of the Lord always seeking and asking for more...AMEN
Oh Kris I remember the day I met you,
Sophomore year in high school you came up to me randomly with hot chocolate at lunch never had spoken to you, never had even seen you and bam there you were with the kindest heart! You always had the most perfect smile and such bright eyes, later you became apart of our family, you helped us and we helped you, always had each others backs! I’m so thankful to have gotten to know you and have you apart of my life. You were Erick’s best friend and honestly I don’t know what he’s gonna do without you. Or what any of us are really
Gonna do knowing you’re gone has really been hitting me harder and harder. I just can’t believe it. I wish I would’ve talked to you more that last time you were in the phone. I regret so much kris and I know
You hear me when I talk to you I know that all this will make all of us a little bit stronger but it’s just not fair. It’s not fair that you didn’t get the chance you deserve. I hope you know that you’re weighing heavy on all of our hearts! We love you very much Kris ❤️

I knew Kris since he was a baby. I am so grateful for our friendship and our unique connection. He always went out of his way to be kind and show love and respect to me. He made me feel like family. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends and he will he be missed.
Charming young man. I’m glad we got to know each other in this lifetime. Blessings to you and my condolences to the family. Especially my man Red. Big up Chris. God bless.
