Thinking of you today and what a shining light you were as a daughter-in-law to me, a wife to Dan, a mother to Edison, a daughter to Mary Lou and Jim, and a friend to everyone whose life you touched.

I'm one of those weirdos who tries to stay away from social media. I am a long, lost friend of Kristen's. We worked together at Zones, before she transferred to the crazy team. She and I were friends immediately, always making each other laugh during our otherwise boring workday. Life moved on as did our careers. She was at my wedding and the last time I saw her was at her wedding. I needed to check FB and then I'm tearing up while watching my high schooler play baseball in Jupiter, FL - in a life so different than the one I lived with Kristen. Kristen, you will forever make my heart smile. We were in each other's lives for a short time but you made a lasting impact. I'm so happy your husband gave you a wonderful, joyful marriage. And I am thrilled you will live on in your son's precious heart. May he grow in the goodness of knowing his mama was a truly amazing, unique, and hilarious person. I will never forget you, Kristen. No one will!

I did not personally know Kristin, or you for that matter, but have become close with your father and mother over the past year. They have spoken so highly and so often about Kristin, and you for that matter, that I feel I've come to know her and you at least a little bit. From their descriptions and stories, I understand that the world will have much less light in it, now that she has passed. I can only imagine what an immense loss this is for both you and Edison, but I am sure that you are finding some solace in the fact that she is no longer suffering. I send you my deepest condolences.
