Kristi's obituary
In Loving Memory of Kristi Lee Ramirez
November 28, 1958 – November 27, 2025
Kristi Lee Ramirez, age 66, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, in Little Falls, Minnesota just one day before her 67th birthday. Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Kristi grew up with a bright spirit and a contagious laugh. She graduated from Shanley High School and later completed a nursing program online, embodying her lifelong passion for caring for others.
On January 5, 1995, Kristi met the love of her life, Kevin Earley, through shared spirituality and a deep connection that only grew stronger with time. They honored their bond through spiritual nuptials in June of 2017. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, compassion, and unconditional love.
A proud woman in recovery since May 2, 1983, Kristi devoted herself wholeheartedly to the journey of healing and hope. She was a beacon of strength in Narcotics Anonymous and found great joy in fellowship whether sharing her story, supporting others, or simply making someone laugh with her quick wit and playful humor. Fondly known as “everyone’s Betty White,” Kristi was never afraid to say something that made jaws drop and hearts lighten.
Kristi’s favorite color was purple, a fitting reflection of her bold, warm, and vibrant personality. She loved the peace of being outdoors, especially casting a line while fishing at Barnesville Lake or at her father’s cabin on Lake Ida. Animals always held a special place in her heart whether furry paws or scaly scales and in recent years she found immense delight in her beloved bearded dragon, Dursa.
Music, bonfires under open skies, good food (especially Izumi), telling stories, cracking jokes, and connecting deeply with people these were the things that made Kristi shine. She lived fully, loved fiercely, and made every person around her feel like family.
Kristi is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Peterson. She is survived by her father, Gene Peterson; her devoted life partner, Kevin Earley; her brother, Guy Peterson; her daughter, Camille VanDall; her granddaughters, Deserah VanDall and Camille Kolding; and her cherished great-grandson, Jackson VanDall. She will also be forever remembered by countless friends and her recovery community, who were among the greatest loves of her life.
Her legacy is one of resilience, laughter, connection, and hope. Kristi touched more lives than she ever realized and she will be missed beyond measure.
A Celebration of Life will be held:
Friday, December 19th at 4:00 PM
Grace United Methodist Church
1120 17th St S, Moorhead, MN 56560
May those who loved her find comfort in each other and may Kristi’s spirit continue to shine in every shared story, every purple sunrise, and every moment of recovery celebrated.
