Konnay's obituary
Konnay Franklet-Irvin, a beloved wife, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 61 on August 23, 2024, after a long illness.
Born on February 8, 1963, Konnay was a radiant presence whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She was known for her generous spirit, her love for teaching kids with special needs (aka, her “Peeps”), and her unwavering support for her family and friends.
Konnay was a devoted partner, who brought joy and comfort into the lives of those around her. Her strength and grace in the face of Alzheimer’s disease were a testament to her character and her enduring love for everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Jeff, her mother, Judy, her brother, George and his wife Amanda and their daughter Marleigh, as well as a host of friends and extended family who will remember her with deep affection and respect.
A memorial service is being planned for next spring in Juneau to celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on those she loved. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Konnay.
Konnay will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her incredible spirit, beautiful smile and the love she gave so freely.
