The Scranton family and I stayed with konnay at her condo prior to all of us driving to Dillons graduation from USMarine Corp boot camp. We snuggled up on her bed, her sofa, her comfy chairs and enjoyed her hospitality. I can still picture her closets of perfectly matched clothing. Such beauty wrapped up in that woman.

Konnay has a special place in my heart. She and I dated when we both lived in Manhattan Beach in the early 90’s. It didn’t work out between the two of us, but she made me a better man. I only wanted happiness for her, and it looks like she found it with Jeff. Rest in peace you beautiful woman.

I keep seeing a common phrase used to describe Konnay “She was a beautiful soul inside and out” I couldn’t say it better! Konnay was gorgeous, kind hearted and, yes, funny! So many great memories of my friend….the time we decided that I needed curly big 80s hair, so she got a professional perm and proceeded to be my beautician. She made my hair an Afro. We both cried and laughed for hours. She told me she’d cover up the mirrors in our apartment (now that’s a true friend), the time we took a 24 road trip with Nancy Preston for Spring Break in California. Konnay and I sang Jumpin’ Jack Flash over and over until the rest of them threatened to throw us out of the station wagon. So much more: the summer we lived in Juneau, our first year teaching in California, visiting Konnay in Huntington Beach, dorm depression sessions, weddings, birthdays….it will never be the same. I love you Konnay and I miss you You’re embedded in my heart. Keep dancing sweet girl❤️

I worked with Konnay when she was a special education teacher at Peninsula High School in Palos Verdes Calif. a very special person. Soft spoken and had her students interests at heart. My son worked in her room as a one on one aid. I remember seeing her last at the Manhattan Beach home town faire helping her friend sell jewelry. She was very happy. She was always smiling. I’m so sorry for your loss. Karen Darling retired administrator

Dear Family and friends,
I'm so sorry, I wish I had known Konnay better. The few times I was with her I found her to be a beautiful soul. She was friendly and her smile lit the room and made a person feel it was truly genuine. I can see why she was so loved by her students. My deepest condolences to everyone. My the Lord bless you and ease your pain. May only the best memories remain.
