Konnie's obituary
Beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Koneta (Konnie) Lynn Bradshaw, 79, of Covina, California passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2022, surrounded by her two devoted children.
Konnie was preceded in death by her mother, Burneta (Petie) Elaine Ivins, her father, Allen Patrick Ivins, sister Kathleen (Kathy) Cassell and brother, Michael Ivins. She is survived by her son Gregory Brendan Bradshaw, daughter Kendra Lee Bradshaw Katta, daughter-in-law Christy Moore Bradshaw, son-in-law Prashanth Sashikumar Katta, two grandchildren Mason and Cash Bradshaw.
Konnie was born on February 26, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to California in the mid-50’s. Konnie graduated from Covina High School in 1961 and shortly thereafter became a flight attendant for American Airlines. After having children, she became involved in Aerobic Dancing as a student, then an instructor and finally an area manager, managing operations in three states. Eventually she entered the catering field where she was able to exhibit her love of cooking.
Known for her generosity and kindness, Konnie volunteered at the Assistance League of Covina Valley for over 15 years and most recently volunteered at the Braille Institute. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, stained glass, cooking, and baking. She made incredibly creative and delicious cookies, which she shared widely with family, friends, and the community. Konnie was an avid fan of Jeopardy (she knew all the answers) and played a mean game of cribbage. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
A memorial service is scheduled to take place on February 25th, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Assistance League of Covina Valley or your favorite charity.
