Kona Blu Heckman passed away suddenly on October 3rd, 2022 in Sarasota, FL at Sarasota Memorial  Hospital at the age of 44 yrs. She was as unique as she was strong, fiercely devoted to her children (the loves of her life), industrious, loyal to her friends, quick witted, and well loved. She lived her life with determination and perseverance, and though it was cut far too, short far too soon, it was full of love for and dedication to her surviving daughter, Jai Heckman, her surviving son, Keegan Heckman, and her father, Darrell  J. Ervans, Sr., as well as stalwart protection of her surviving friends, who are too many to name here. From her charismatic, outgoing nature to her boisterous personality, she left an indelible imprint on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her patented quote "Put me in the game, coach!" and her favorite toast, which she kept alive after the passing of another mutual friend, "Here's to lying, cheating, stealing, and drinking: If you're gonna lie, don't lie to your friends, if you're going to cheat, cheat to win, if you're going to steal, steal her heart, and if you're going to drink, drink with me m--rf--r" will be missed at many of her favorite establishments throughout Sarasota as she watched her favorite college (Michigan) and professional (Detroit) football teams. More than that however, she will be dearly missed by her family and close friends, who will carry her memory close forever.
