Kirk was a devoted military man and loving father. He served his country with pride and completed a tour in Iraq in 2004 and in Afghanistan, 2012. When he wasn't out protecting our country, he could be found fixing and taking things apart. Kirk was a hard-working man and prided himself on never missing a day of work. His favorite part of his Navy service was visiting different countries, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures along the way. He always brought back small gifts for his children so he could share his experiences. He was very passionate about sports and especially loved Notre Dame, the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Miami Dolphins, and NASCAR.
