Kirk was my friend. We met at Martin Marietta in the 1980's. I worked with Kirk, played on company sports teams with him, golfed with him and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Kirk and I spent the last part of his life enjoying Wednesday coffee with me. We met almost every Wednesday for many years either at Starbucks or McDonalds's for an hour and half of 'guy time'. It was a way to give Yvonne a little break and Kirk and I would have interesting conversations. It was fun. I do miss those days. We enjoyed discussing dynamics and stress topics, doing math puzzles, as well as talking about his wonderful kids and their accomplishments. We had some disagreements at times, but we were almost like brothers, so it always seemed to work out.
My friend was a kind and good husband and father, and always put his family first. Kirk, my friend, you are missed but not forgotten.

I enjoyed it when Yvonne, Kirk, and family came back to Michigan to visit.
I admired Yvonne's strength in such a hard situation.`

Uncle Kirk was a guy that always made us laugh at family functions. His smile and infectious laugh always made my day! I've had the pleasure to get to know him 38 years. We all had some great memories together as a family. I loved our family traditions and holiday functions. We always had a fun game or something to interact at our holiday events. His memory will live on and we will continue our traditions. Rest in peace Uncle Kirk. We love you and we will miss you terribly 🥺

When I heard of Kirk’s passing I knew his long fight was over and he was at piece.
I called Kirk a brother as that was what we were. We met in sixth grade as both are families moved to Huntington the same time.
We had so many great experiences over the next 5 decades.
Kirk absolutely loved his family and especially Yvonne. He would be beaming through the phone when he would speak about the accomplishments of Jenna, Brett or Garret.
Kirk I will miss you much, remember you more and be thankful to have shared so much with.
My wish for you is nothing but Black Diamonds and fresh powder.
Rest in Peace, Brother
