KIRK's obituary
Kirk Douglas Dudley, aka "Capt. Kirk" age 48 passed away suddenly while on a camping trip in Ocala, Florida on October 13,2022. Kirk was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne during his time in the U.S. Army 1994-1997. He was a "disabled Vet" due to a TBI that occurred while he was station at Fort Bragg, NC. He also suffered from PTSD due to witnessing a mass shooting that occurred and witnessing the death of several soldiers in his unit. He worked for Verizon for 13 years while battling his illnesses/injuries and was forced to resign when it took over his life.
Kirk lived both in Maryland and Florida for most of his life. He enjoyed crabbing with his friend Gordy whenever he was in Maryland and made sure he visited during summer months to eat steamed crabs and corn on the cob. He enjoyed spending time cooking out/camping with a lot of his long- time friends.
Kirk is survived by his daughter: Dalilah Dudley, Mother: Sharon Somers, Birth Brothers: Erik W. Dudley, Sr and Timothy Greenstreet, and Adopted Siblings: Briar Somers, Sisters: Brooke, Melissa, Ciara, Kasie Somers and Yana Prendergast. Great Grandmother Mary Somers-Saghy, also his Aunt's Susan Thomas (Gary) Blythe, Ga, Tisa Cullum {Bill), Beech Island, SC, Diane Somers (Bill), Lewes, DE. Uncle: Bobby (Joan), Elk Horn, Wisconsin and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on November 18th @ 10 am, Grace Baptist Church, 17 Somerset Rd, Pasadena, Md 21122. Final interment will be at 2pm, Baltimore National Cemetary, 5501 Frederick Rd, Baltimore, Md. 21228
