Kirk's obituary

IN MEMORIAM

Kirk George Comiskey passed away at his home in Nashville TN Feb 9, 2019 at the age of 67. His passing was unexpected and ruled as heart failure. He passed in his sleep.
Kirk was born in Minneapolis, MN to George A & Adrienne M (Dille) Comiskey. He grew up, along with his 2 younger brothers Jeff and Jay, in Fridley MN.
After graduating high school he studied art in college and enjoyed painting as a hobby throughout his life.
Kirk's passion was music. He was a very talented musician and producer who played multiple instruments, excelling particularly at lead guitar and pedal steel.
He played in several bands in the Minneapolis area and also traveled the country extensively playing music on the road. He settled in Nashville TN in 1988 and a few years later started a music studio/production company called Nashville Music Production Services which he operated successfully until his death.
Kirk will be remembered fondly for his easy-going nature, infectious laugh and quick wit. He was a very likable character who had the ability to make anyone in his company feel at ease. He had a kind heart, and strong loyalty to his friends and family. He is sorely missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother Adrienne (Dille) Comiskey, father George Comiskey and brother Jay C. Comiskey.
He is survived by his brother Jeff (JoAnn Johnson) Comiskey of Coon Rapids, MN, Daughter Triina Barr of Invergrove Heights, MN, grandchildren Hayden and Owen, and various cousins/relatives of the Dille and Carlson clans.
Kirk was cremated and ashes returned to MN with family.
