PORTSMOUTH - Kip McPherson Hunt, 78, died unexpectedly May 18, 2022. He was the son of the late James Wood Hunt, Sr. and Thelma McPherson Hunt. He is predeceased by his brother, James Wood Hunt, Jr. He was born March 19, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. He graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia as an Honor Student.

He was very active in the Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church. He worked as the manager of a Paint Company and at George's Seafood in Norfolk, Virginia. He enjoyed Biking and Running. He ran competitively in several marathons and other races.

He is survived by his half-sister, Katherine Lee Stormont of Kitty Hawk, NC; his nephews Jim, Bill, and John Hunt; his nieces, Jane and Mary Anne Hunt; and his brother's wife, Mary Fuller Hunt.
