I was saddened when I heard the news of Kip's passing.

I was very sorry to hear of Kip’s passing. He was an interesting person who lived his own life and listened to the beat of his own drum. On an early June day many years ago I accompanied him and his friend Chris to Dutch Gap on the James River to celebrate the anniversary of a solo canoe ride he’d completed in his younger days. He was quite proud of this arduous accomplishment. I also admired his biking all over the area for transportation and fun. Rest In Peace Kip....

My name is Chris Georgiades. Kip was a good friend, very intelligent. I worked for George's Seafood and Kip also worked there as a box maker. He was also a coastguard weatherman. He was a member of The Tidewater striders as he enjoyed running and a great endurance man, hence the nickname RG (running guy).
He was a cyclist as he rode his bicycle every day as his main mode of transportation. I am very sad to hear about my friend Kip. I know so much about Kip. We were camping buddies as we were members of The Appalachian Trail Club as he loved the outdoors and he is greatly missed and was a mentor.
