My condolences to Kim's husband and family.  I was a high school classmate of Kim's and I am so sorry I missed the chance to reconnect with her before her passing.  She was such a fun and gal and can only imagine how her family will miss her.
I was very sad when I heard the news of Kim's passing. She was a wonderful woman and a great friend. Her loss is huge for all of us. God bless her family.
Kim was such a special person. A true honor to get to know her and be the recipient of her encouragements and advice. She will definitely be ever loved and always an inspiration. Praying for comfort.

To Michael and the rest of the Sharpe family, my heart breaks with yours to hear that Kim has lost her fight. She was a beautiful soul inside and out and I long to see her again on the other side. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Prayers of comfort your way,
Benita Hopkins
Kim's spirit and passion for life and justice lives on in so many of us, so I will speak of that spirit in the present. The only thing that interests Kim is service. I have had the pleasure and privilege of working with her on social and racial justice issues in our community for the past 2 years. In our meetings you could barely get a word in edgewise with Kim in the Zoom room. Off line I would tell her that I was the one muting her when other people were sharing and she would just laugh and then tell me, "I'm going to work on that, I'm going to work on that, I just feel so strongly about this work." We all knew that and gave her hella passes for interrupting. Now, her voice and the cadence of her thoughts will forever be apart of our dialogue and strategy sessions as we continue this fight for justice with a pushy angel on our shoulders yelling in our ears - continue the fight with force; push-back with conviction and strength in knowing you're doing what's right and speak up, stand up for the children with everything you've got. In the name of Kim Sharpe, I pledge to do just that.
I admired the way that Kim loved her children. I yearned for that type of love from my own mom. I was grateful that Kim extended that love to me whenever I came by or she saw me in person or online being Marla's friend.
