Dearest Kim's family,
We cherish and miss Kim greatly here at The Arc and personally. Kim cared for and about our consumers and used her talents of quick thinking, resolve, social media, video content design and production during the pandemic. Kim cared about her colleagues and supported them to bring friendship, care activity packages and YouTube videos to our consumers at home. Most of all, Kim is remembered for her beautiful spirit and how she personally touched each of our lives. Kim is always a part of The Arc family.
Sincerely,
The Arc San Joaquin Staff

We made a good team Kim. You were such a joy to work with. We laughed (and complained) a lot BUT always got the work done. I’ll miss you friend.

I have known Kim or Goathead as she is known in my family since 1991. She was one of my oldest and closest friends. She got that nickname from my dad. We would talk on the phone if not every day, then nearly. When my dad would get home from work I would ask her to hold on, so that I could answer my dad;s questions. Then I would quickly tell her "go ahead" and I am guessing it was fast enough to sound like goathead. My dad asked me why I was calling her goathead and from then on it just stuck. So much so that when my dad passed in 2014 she signed the card on the flowers with Goathead. She was such a sweet, caring, and kind person. I remember in the summer of 1992, just before I moved away, Kim, Kris, & their cousin Mitch were at my house. We were outside hitting around a tennis ball in the cul-de-sac and I don't remember how it started,(Mitch totally started it though!) but we started saying things like, I look like a tennis court, or some other random thing. Then there were the times we drove through the neighborhood play Sir Mix-a-Lot Baby Got Back really REALLY loud. The reason is a bit vague to me now. Then in the spring of 1993 I moved in with Kim's family for 6 or 8 weeks so that I could graduate from high school on time and with my friends. Not sure how mom and dad put up with having a 3rd daughter in the house, but I thank god for them allowing me to stay with them. Friends in low places will forever make me remember Kim standing on a table in her wedding dress singing along quite loudly, LOL! Even though our calls grew farther apart as we got older, when we were able to connect it felt like no time at all. My love and sympathy go out to dad, Kris, Kaely, Kassidy, & Keat. There are way more memories I have of Goathead, but for now I am going to hold those close to my heart.
