Dear Kauss & Quinn Family - Kim and I were childhood friends, and even tho later in life we lived in different states, we still remained friends, but friends from afar! There was never a time, Kim wasn't in my thoughts, even before the cancer. She was a "true-blue" friend from my childhood. Friends like that are rare and hard to find. I'm just grateful she was mine!
Here are just a few fond memories I will keep forever about sweet Kim.
Her laugh...she was always such a happy soul. I envied her for that. I believe she survived cancer for as long as she did because of her positivity and warrior like attitude. Furthermore, I'm sure she fought it only to do it with a smile on her face to the bitter end.
Top Grade A at everything...sports, riding horses, good grades, popular amongst her classmates (just to name a few!). She was the type of friend everyone wanted to have.
A Friend for Life - Kim always valued friendships. Never took friendship for granted. She was trustworthy and a good listener.
Loved Horses - My Dad introduced me to the love of riding and having a horse. He taught me to ride a horse before he taught me to ride a bike. I bet her Dad Steve, introduced horses to her at a young age too, and taught her to love horses like my Dad did with me. Good Job Steve! (:@)
I'll miss Kim and visiting with her on occasion when I came back to IL to visit. I only wished I could have had more time to spend with her. I wished I could have met her married family. I would share with them, what an amazing person their mom was. Please make her proud as she watches over each of you through the clouds!
I also wished she and I could have ridden horses together. I'll just have to wait for my Pegasus to take me to see my friend in heaven.
Peace Be With All of You - Love, Carna
