Kim was my closest relative in age besides my sister, Gwen. When we would come to visit from PA. He would always joke around with us. I remember Wes and he had built model ships/aircraft carriers in their 6th street home. Sometimes we could touch them. When they moved to the Big White house on the hill, time was always spent out on the porch swings laughing, talking, arguing, and petting cats. I remember Grandma Glasgow sitting at the sink on her metal chair washing dishes or preppy food. We'd sit in the sunroom kitchen and have crazy conversations with the family. Sometimes Grandpa Glasgow would walk thru, but he was usually in the living room smoking his pipe and controlling what we watched on tv. There was this cool rocket ship bank that sat on the bookshelf and I was always mesmerized by how it worked. Kim taught me how to play chop sticks and some other little songs on Grandma's piano. There was never any pounding on the keys. I was always proud that 3 of my uncles were each in a different military branch. I am sorry that our family got so split up all over the US. I wish I knew my cousins better. As I travel around the country I will try and meet up with you. I'm sad that I didn't get to see Kim. We were just in Seattle the week before he passed. We fb'd but he was in the hospital. If I could bring that back, we would have seen him. If I've learned one thing, don't "what if" your life..... God is in charge. I know I will one day see him in heaven and he is already visiting with many family members. Love'ya Kim.
