From a young age, Kimberly was drawn to caregiving—a calling that led her to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She dedicated nearly her entire professional life to nursing, taking immense pride in her work. Her heart was especially attuned to children requiring specialized care, and she found deep fulfillment in supporting those most in need. Her passion for helping others was not just a career—it was the essence of who she was.
Kimberly's vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Bubbly and outgoing, she radiated warmth and acceptance. She lived fearlessly and authentically, never allowing the opinions of others to dim her spirit. Whether you were a lifelong friend or a stranger passing through her life, Kimberly welcomed you with open arms and an open heart. Her loyalty knew no bounds. She never gave up on people and stood by those she cared about through every circumstance.
Outside of her work and relationships, Kimberly found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a keen eye for photography, capturing moments that reflected the beauty she saw in the world around her. She loved swimming and hiking—activities that allowed her to connect with nature—and she delighted in watching NASCAR races.
Kimberly’s legacy lives on through those who loved her dearly: her mother Helen Lacey; her sister Jody Loucks; her brother Dennis Noonan; her children; oldest son Travis Abner, daughter Shaelyn Abner, and youngest son Charles Abner. Each carries forward pieces of her strength, kindness, and fearless love.
Her favorite words—“Dream Big!”—serve as a lasting reminder of how she approached life: with hope, courage, and boundless generosity.
May Kimberly’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her and continue to inspire acts of compassion and courage in the world she leaves behind.
