Dear Chris and family,

We send our deepest love and care to you all in this time. Wanted to be there today, but Larry wasn’t feeling well for the drive. Kim was such a good friend, the kind that we just picked up where we left off after months or years of not seeing each other.  I will miss her so much, but for sure see her in eternity. We are so sorry for this earthly loss. Praying and knowing that God will see you through .💔 Very sincerely,    Jodi Bellamy

We will miss the Celebration of Life

As we are out of town

Kim was always so kind and warm and welcoming to me. She also had such a giving heart. Praying for peace and comfort to her Chris, Cara, Jared, and all the grandkids she loves so much. I wish I was able to attend her celebration of life but I am out of town. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

One of my favorite stories:

Kim had invited me to visit her church back in November 1999 (Word of Faith was the name at the time). She knew how much I wanted to be married, and I was not meeting anyone at the church I was going to. Well, within the first few weeks of attending the church, I met a man name Rich Schrodetzki thru the singles group that I was co-leading with Pat Hepler. Rich and connected immediately and started talking on the phone and at church events. He then invited me to coffee on January 1, 2000 (25 years ago). We spent about 3 hours talking and getting to know each other. Then he casually says, “I am not interested in getting involved with anyone….” Ugh! I was so disappointed because it was obvious we were interested in each other – plus he was the one that asked me out for coffee?

Well, the next day I called Kim and told her all about the event and what he had said. Without skipping a beat, she says (and I am paraphrasing since this as 25 years ago), “Bren, he is going to fall in love with you and you are going to get married.” Now, that was a bold statement, but Kim was very prophetic and did take that gift lightly. She never would have said it had been directed by the Lord to do so. All of that is to say, we were engaged by January 31s and married on October 21st of that same year.
