My heartfelt and deepest condolences to Kimani's family. He was my close friend of 33 years going back to 1991 at Howard University, and he will be profoundly missed. His intellect, his heart, his wit, his talents, and his ever inquisitive nature are a testament to his grace of character.  He had me fooled that he would live forever. 

It is my tradition to plant trees in honor of those who I have called family and friends who have transitioned from this earth, and have done so in memory of Kimani.

I was so sad to hear about Kimani’s passing.  He was the cool big brother of one of my besties.  Susan, words can never express the lost you must feel.  Please know you are not alone.  I send love and healing to all Kimani’s love ones & a special hug to his daughter and partner.
