Kim's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Kim Sanders, who left this world on January 22, 2026, at the age of 68. Kim was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished brother. He had a sharp wit, a gift for sarcasm, and a generosity that knew no limits—qualities that made life brighter for everyone lucky enough to know him.
Kim was a proud graduate of Russellville High School, Class of 1975. After high school, he joined the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Russellville, Arkansas, beginning a career that would take him across the region and ultimately change his life forever. While traveling for work in Texarkana, Texas, Kim met the love of his life, Toni Bell. Their connection was immediate and lasting, and they were married on July 3, 1996. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family, raising their two children along the way.
Later, Kim discovered a passion for the car business and transitioned into car buying, a move that led him to relocate his family to Memphis, Tennessee. While in Memphis, he worked as a car buyer at CarMart in West Memphis, Arkansas, Car Smart of Memphis, Wolfchase Auto Sales, and EZ Auto of Memphis. Kim had a natural talent for connecting with people, and his honesty and humor left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike.
Above all else, Kim was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Toni Sanders; his children, Kayla, Troy, and Niki Sanders; and his treasured grandsons, Miles McWhorter and Thorn Wood, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Alicia Petty and Debi Roden, who will forever cherish his memory.
Kim was a devoted fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys, loyalties he wore proudly and defended passionately. But more than anything, he will be remembered for his extraordinary sense of humor, his biting sarcasm delivered with a grin, his open heart, and his unwavering love for his family.
Kim’s legacy is one of laughter, loyalty, and love. He reminded us not to take life too seriously, to enjoy the moment, and to always show up for the people who matter most. As we say goodbye, we hold tight to the memories of a man whose presence filled every room and whose love will continue to live on in all of us.
