Kim Ellis passed away in the comfort of her loving son Frederick's home, in Asbury Park on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

Born in Neptune, Ms. Ellis had been a resident of Asbury Park for an accumulation of over 20 years, after also moving to and from Long Branch where she spent many years of her adult life as well.

Ms. Ellis was a graduate of Asbury Park High School. She was also a retired Home Health Aide, where she took care of & looked after many people, for over 2 decades.

In her spare time, Kim enjoyed playing poker & bingo. Her eldest son recalls fond memories of her hosting parties when she was younger, where her friends would come and play games, like poker, all weekend long. But her favorite thing to do was spending time at the local Racetrack. Ms.Ellis also enjoyed watching her favorite team, the New York Giants, play football each season.

Daughter of the late Hazel Lee Ellis and George Riller, she is survived by 4 sons, Frederick R. Ellis, Charles Ellis, Curtis Ellis, and Anthony (Troy) Ellis; her 3 granddaughters Kwaneisa Ellis, Nay'Quasia Anderson and Anani Ellis; 4 grandsons Frederick Maldonado, Isaiah Ellis, Curtis Ellis Jr., and Kylip Paul; her 3 sisters April Ellis, Gloria Riller, and Cheryl Riller Long; her 5 brothers Edward Ellis, Christopher Ellis, Thomas Ellis, Michael Askins, and Kurtis Askins; a loving brother-in-law John Long Jr; her 3 nephews Jerome Ellis, Jamal Gill, Mike Howard; her 4 nieces Jennifer Ollivierrie and Jasmine Norville, and April Ellis and Kaprisha Ellis with whom she had a very close relationship with until the end; and many other cousins and countless friends.

Kim's funeral services will be held at Jackson Funeral Home in Neptune, NJ on Friday June 30, 2023. The viewing will be held from 10AM-11AM, with services following directly after. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
