Kim's obituary
Some people leave a mark; Kim left a masterpiece. Loving wife and devoted mother to Kristen and Kyle, beloved sister, fun aunt, loyal friend—and so much more. Her intellect was matched only by her quick wit and boundless generosity, qualities that touched everyone lucky enough to know her.
Kim found joy everywhere. She loved art, music, a good laugh with friends and family, spoiling her sweet dog Dottie, traveling, and being in or near the water. But her greatest joy, without question, was her family. Her proudest accomplishment was raising Kristen and Kyle and watching them grow into fine young adults and then attending their weddings. She treasured every moment as their relationships evolved from parent and children to the closest of friends. She also took pride in completing court reporting school and her career as an accomplished Court Reporter at Buell Realtime.
Kim and I were together for 38 years, 36 years as a married couple, and built such a great life together. We had so much fun, and I will cherish the memories we made. We all wish there would be more.
I remember saying to Kim one time that not everything had to be a party, and she replied to me, "Why not?" as if I were crazy. Now I know Kim was right about that, like she was right about most things. Remember to celebrate the little things – life's too short not to.
