Kim's obituary
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Kim Owen Dinsmoor, who left us on the evening of August 19, 2024, at his home in Dallas, TX, under a bright full moon. He is survived by his beautiful daughters, Jamie Dinsmoor and Shelby Courtney, his sister Yvonne Melton, and his mother Lorraine Daneau.
Born on March 11, 1954, Kim lived a life that was characterized by warmth, optimism, and a distinctive sense of humor that never failed to bring laughter into the lives of those around him.
Kim relished the opportunity to travel. His favorite destinations were the beaches Florida and California, which he often said reminded him of what heaven would be like. Whether he was exploring the vibrant streets of Miami or the picturesque places of sunny California, Kim's warm disposition and adventurous spirit were always evident. He was never a stranger, in any town he went. He loved to make new friends and explore new things.
Kim will be remembered for his legacy of friendship, mentorship, and his passion for life. His relentless optimism, engaging personality, and ability to bring joy to those around him made him a cherished figure in the lives of all who knew him. Though his presence will be profoundly missed, his influence and impact will continue to live on.
Kim will be having a direct cremation with no service or celebration of life, at Prepared Place Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. In honor of Kim’s unwavering love and dedication as a father, we are rallying support for the "Father Daughter Memorial Trip". Kim’s last wish was to take a beach trip with his daughters. Please help us make this a reality as our way of celebrating his life and living his legacy. Contributions can be made through the following website: https://everloved.com/life-of…. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to donate and help carry forward Kim's spirit of adventure and family love.
We extend our deepest sympathies to all those mourning the loss of Kim Dinsmoor. May his love for life, coupled with his warmth, optimism, and humor, serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all as we remember and honor his life.
