Kierra McCleary-Orris, of Bismarck, North Dakota , died on December 17th, 2022 from unexpected health issues. She was 33 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death. Kierra was born on January 28th, 1989. She attended The University of North Alabama, where she was a four year starter for the Women’s Basketball Team. After graduation, Kierra followed her love for the game into coaching. She served as an assistant coach at NIU, WIU, and Butler University. 

Kierra would say her biggest accomplishment and joy in her life  would be meeting and marrying the love of her life, Michael Orris, and together raising her twin boys Micah and Malachi. 

Kierra was also a small business owner -- she owned and operated Sweet January Photography in Bismarck.  She poured her heart and soul into the business which showed to all! Everyone who knew Kierra knew how genuine she was. Kierra was full of love, positivity, and joy, traits that were obvious to all the moment you met Kierra .
Kierra is survived by the love of her life and husband, Michael Orris, her twin boys Micah and Malachi, her parents Cecil and Janet McCleary, her brother Tye McCleary, and an abundance of friends. We will miss her more than words can describe.
