Kevin's obituary
Kevin Scott Thacker, 55, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on January 2, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Kevin was born July 31st, 1969, to Walt and Vera Thacker and grew up in Milford, Ohio. Kevin married Ann (Farmer) Thacker on June 20, 1992 and was the loving and devoted father to Brooke and Alexis.
Kevin graduated from Milford High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Northern Kentucky University and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Cincinnati.
Kevin pursued his passion of teaching and inspiring students and student athletes as a teacher at Campbell County High School, Summit Country Day School, Annunciation, Milford High School, and Moeller High School. He served as the assistant principal and then principal at Glen Este Middle School. He was the principal at Clough Pike Elementary School from 2011 until his passing. He dedicated himself to countless students, staff members, and families and truly exemplified academic excellence, high expectations, kindness, leadership, and compassion.
Kevin was selfless, always putting his friends, family, and even strangers before himself. Though he always had commitments and tasks of his own, he would drop everything to tend to others.
Kevin could always be found working on a project or rehabbing a house, whether it be his, a friend’s, or his daughters’.
Kevin was an avid sports fan, and specifically, loved the Crimson Tide. During football season, the TV was guaranteed to be on all weekend showing college and NFL games.
Kevin is survived by his devoted wife Ann; his daughters Brooke and Alexis; his parents Walt and Vera; his mother-in-law Mary Farmer; Ann's siblings Rosemary Pettigrew, Tom (Karen) Farmer, Cindy Marquardt, and Tim (Celeste) Farmer; and many nieces and nephews.
