Kevin Earl Morgan

March 29, 1954 - June 12, 2024

Kevin Earl Morgan, age 70, of Jenkinsburg, Georgia, passed away on June 12, 2024. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. After moving to Bethesda, Maryland, he attended Bullis Prep and graduated from Walt Whitman High School. Kevin continued his education at the United States Air Force Academy and Duke University, from which he graduated with a B.A. in Economics. A loyal Blue Devil, while at Duke, he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and played Varsity Soccer.

Throughout his career, Kevin held various mechanical jobs, including working as a mechanic for Eastern Airlines in Atlanta. He received his pilot’s license and worked in General Aviation. He was known for his dedication to his work and his craftmanship. He was an excellent maker of fine custom saddles, fitted to horses and riders.

Kevin was devoted to his loving wife and partner of 29 years, the former Carol Reeves of Atlanta. He had a deep love for country life and animals, and he and Carol cherished spending time together in nature. His passions included hunting, shooting, and teaching others to love it as much as he did. He looked forward to the time he and Carol spent on weekend rides through the Geogia countryside with the Rockdale Trailblazers Club, where he served as an officer.

In addition to his wife, Carol, Kevin is survived by brothers Keith (Jane) of Round Mountain, Texas, and Gary (Vickie) of Athens, Georgia and his Reeves in-law sisters and brothers of Atlanta. He is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews and twenty-nine grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Grace “Peggy” Morgan of Hilton Head, South Carolina.

A memorial service was held on Friday, June 21, in the Chapel at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3003 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Kevin will be remembered for his hard work, love for his family, and his appreciation for the simple joys in life. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
