Kevin Leon Carroll Sr., age 67, of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. Born on December 23, 1957, in Des Moines, IA, to Virginia and Richard Carroll Sr., Kevin was a devoted husband and man of deep faith and integrity.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Carroll Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Tonya Carroll; his children Kevin Carroll Jr., David Carroll (spouse Cher Carroll), Mariah Carroll (Brown) (spouse Jessie Brown), and Ketta Carroll (Welch) (spouse Brandon Welch); his sister Cynthia Carter; his grandchildren Dominique Carroll, Ricardo Carroll, and Michael Johnson; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Kevin proudly served over 30 years with the Des Moines Fire Department before retiring. He lived a life guided by his Israelite faith and a strong belief in The Most High Father. A man of principle, Kevin found joy in sports, playing football and basketball well into adulthood, as well as learning and mastering any new athletic challenge. He had a gifted hand for building, repairing, and helping those in need.

Kevin believed in living with integrity and rooted his life in Ecclesiastes 12:13: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” He upheld this scripture daily and instilled its values in those around him.

Per his wishes, Kevin will have a direct burial. A private memorial will be planned by his family to honor and celebrate his life at a future time, to be held in Iowa.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
