Kevin's obituary
Kevin Wayne Kronz 1962-2023
Kevin Wayne Kronz, 60, of Paulden, AZ died on Saturday, December 2nd at his home. Our beloved husband, father, son, grandfather (“Pops”), brother, uncle, cousin, and friend
He was born in Muncie, Indiana on December 27th to Wayne and Diane Kronz. Kevin’s life was a full adventure. He loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and golfing. Dyslexia made school difficult and he dropped out at 16 to work in construction. Some of his adventures lead to a jail house experience where he taught himself to read and came to know Christ through a very intimate experience. From there, his life became about ministry and he started Letters of Hope, a prison ministry that created lifelong friendships and numerous people who came to know Christ through Kevin’s authentic love and commitment.
Kevin didn’t know a stranger and always had a story to share making friends very easily. You might think the story was grandiose the first time you heard it, but they never changed and over time, you would meet witnesses to his adventures. His construction business was built on the motto, “If you can dream it, I can turn it in to a reality.” His handiwork is known all over Phoenix and northern Arizona, including the Arrowhead Fountains outside Harkins Theater in Peoria. His ministry included building churches in the area and in the Dominican Republic.
He was proud to complete his GED at the age of 50 and was in the process of getting his pilot’s license. He had just completed building his own home and prior to his death was looking forward to building his ministry again at Hope & Beyond Ranch in Paulden, Arizona.
Kevin is survived by his wife, and love of his life, Tiffany Kronz. Parents Wayne and Diane Kronz; Children: Ashley (Zechary) Towns and grandchildren Gabrielle, Ronan, and Cole; Jonathan Kronz (Karl Hakmiller); Step -children: Andres (Stephanie) Marrufo and grandchildren Gabriella, Cecilia and Lyla; Mariah (Cody) Allan and grandson Tobias. Siblings: Daniel (Deborah) Kronz and Angel Kronz, and an extensive extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with very special people he considered to be his family. He was met in heaven by his nephew Ethan and they are fishing in the river of life.
A Celebration of Life service will take place Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Desert Hills Community Church of the Nazarene, 34835 N 7th Street, Phoenix AZ 85086.
