I will miss you so much Kev I didn’t call you KJ I called you Kev. You were always my reader for reel development at AAU. You were so patient with me and kind and no matter how May times I wanted to get my scene right you would say let’s do it again. Your smile could brighten up a room and anyone’s day. You even showed me things about your job (that you wasn’t supposed to) but hey it would encourage me to keep going in the direction God was taking me. I am so hurt by your loss because I feel like I wasn’t there for you like you were there for me. I had no idea what you were going through because we normally text but we don’t follow each other on social media. So I was very shocked and I’m in still in shock, but I know you’re at peace and I’m not even worried. I know you are with the Lord. My condolences to your family I am sure they are hurt but the one thing God made me understand about your passing that if you were here you would say smile and enjoy life because you always smiled and I never saw you complain or upset about anything. So I will take with me the joy you gave and the gift of life. I love you bro and I will see you again. Love your friend!

Kevin was always full of high energy. I think back to when I served with him in Santiago Chile and when he played his music up loud "Who Do You Love", " My Hitta" and "Don't Kill my Vibe".   Making sure I didn't go to sleep. Man he would knock on my door, try the handle and completely have me break my call with my girl so we could go out to the club. LOL Good times we took the City like we owned and everyone had a beginner level Spanish too. He loved to Dance and would often be the center of attention. Kevin lived his life like it was easy and did everything with an unshakeable attitude and a mindset fixated on mission accomplishment. I think it was always impressive when Kevin said he was going to do something and did it in what seem like record time. 

I remember another time he gave me my own leadership advice "Inspect what you expect." and "Expect the unexpected." So when you are managing teams and you tell someone do something it is the leaders responsibility to double check the quality of the work the team puts forward is at standard and also know there is a chance things can go terribly wrong so keep an open mind and be ready for it.  I Love You Brother,  High Speed Low Drag, Semper Fi
