Kevin Crye, of Little Elm, TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 13, 2025.

Kevin was born on April 14, 1969 to William J. Crye Sr. and Sandra G. Crye. He was the youngest of three children.

After high school, Kevin served in the US Navy Ceremonial Guard. During his service, Kevin participated in many military funerals and government events; most notably, President Clinton’s inauguration in January 1993. In 1994, Kevin was honorably discharged from Active Duty. Later in life, Kevin joined Little Elm’s Post 182 of the American Legion. He served in several positions in the Post, including Vice Commander and Commander.

In 1992, Kevin married Sandra Atwell in Washington, D.C. Together they had two children and built a life in North Texas. Kevin was a loving and devoted husband and father who always put his family first.

Around 2010, Kevin got involved in DFW’s professional wrestling community. He was a referee, a commissioner, and, most recently, a commentator for local wrestling shows. His love for pro-wrestling was obvious and some of his happiest times were at wrestling shows. He made many friends and touched many lives in the wrestling community.

Kevin was the kind of person who reminded you to see the fun side of things. He loved to laugh, he was genuine, he was kind, and he was always there for the people he cared about. Kevin was a bright light in the world and he will be greatly missed by many.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, William J. Crye, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Crye; two daughters, Nichole Crye and Holly Crye; grandson, Oliver Werfel; mother, Sandra G. Crye; sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Terry Martin; and brother, William J. Crye, Jr.

A memorial service for Kevin will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 11:00 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, TX.
