I worked closely with Kevin at PSU. With our desks adjacent to each other, we not only shared work responsibilities, but spent a lot of time talking about life in general, from big to small topics. I do think about him daily, and often imagine what he would say if I asked him a question. In many ways, he is still very much here and present in my daily doings, if only in my mind and heart.
Kevin was a big part of my life in the early 1990s. Learning and traveling together.  I loved how he lived his life and was doing what he loved.  He is missed. Thank you Kevin for some great memories of geology trips, Colorado trips and writing
It was shocking to see the notice of Kevin's death. Having known Kevin through helping him with a retirement account from OSF I can testify that this was a true highlight of his life. In fact, I didn't know that he had a law degree until I read of his passing. Kevin had an amazing presence and energy that the memorial obituary captured perfectly. Thank you Kevin for the spark you brought to this world.

May Kevin's bright light shine for many years to come...
Kevin generated happy, kind energy by nature. I am so fortunate to have worked with him on various projects at PSU. I continue to be inspired by his light now and ever. He was a good thoughtful person who made day to day actions meaningful and fun. Sending healing thoughts and care as you process his passing.

We send you all our heartfelt condolences. We know from talking to Joel and hearing the great stories about Kevin, that he was an amazing person and will be missed very much by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sending love and light.
I worked with Kevin on the English department's online development projects. He was a lovely person in every way - a great colleague, generous, and thoughtful. I learned a lot from him, including how to get things done at PSU. (If he's watching, he's chuckling right now.)

I used to see him at the gym. He was just a great guy.

I am very, very sorry for his passing. My thoughts go to all of his friends, family, and loved ones.
I did not know Kevin well but I was fortunate to work with him on our Flexible Degree project. I enjoyed his positive attitude and his project management style. As that project was wrapping up, Kevin shared his interest in adaptive learning and encouraged me to consider it for use in our program. I was not in a position to take on another project but I admit it was difficult to decline due to his warm enthusiasm. My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved Kevin.
The Wellons family sends our condolences to Shelley and all family and friends of Kevin.

2022, South End, Office of Academic Innovation (PSU)
I worked in the Office of Academic Innovation with Kevin for 6 years. Over those 6 years, I never heard Kevin complain about anything or anyone...ever! He was always so positive and professional. He was quick with a story, a smile, and always full of laughter. We often chatted about our beloved Portland Trail Blazers. A co-worker and I were fortunate enough to have lunch with Kevin the Thursday before he passed away. We didn't know that was the last time we'd see him. During that time eating with Kevin, he talked about his journey to work at The Shakespeare Festival and how it filled his life with joy and happiness. I was inspired by his life story, and I know my colleague and I both walked away from that lunch thinking we had spent a special time with Kevin that day.
