Kevin's obituary

Kevin Warren Adams, resident of Sutter Creek, CA, returned to his heavenly home on June 21, 2025 surrounded by his family. Kevin was 67 years old yet a faithful child of The King. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his final days and ultimately gave him peace.

Kevin was born in Stockton, CA on October 27, 1957 to the late Warren Adams and Dorothy Duhig. From an early age, he was immersed in a world of music and found music not only to be something that he was immensely gifted in but also therapeutic for himself and those he shared it with. After Kevin graduated from Manteca High School in 1975, he immediately set off to pursue a future in music so that he could share his gift with others.

Kevin was blessed with four children who he often said were his greatest accomplishment. He raised his children with discipline, kindness, and zeal and his greatest legacy is that all of his children know and love the Lord.

Kevin loved the mountains and enjoyed sharing his love for nature with his family. In his younger years, he was an accomplished athlete, running in many races and even climbing to the tallest peak in the contiguous United States, Mount Whitney. Kevin also loved baseball, especially playing ball with his son.

Kevin was a compassionate counselor and a mentor at heart. He was kind, caring, and solution-oriented, always seeking to understand a problem and help to solve it. This was apparent in his parenting style, his managerial positions, his teaching/coaching roles, and his time serving in the benevolence ministry at his church.

Kevin married his best friend, Jennifer Adams, on July 17, 2017, in Sutter Creek, CA. Kevin often publicly thanked God for sending him such a gift, as Jennifer was not only his soulmate but someone who would prove to support Kevin on his journey toward Christ.

Kevin’s life was a living testament to how one can be lost but become found; how one can forsake the love of material things and worldly pleasures and instead die unto oneself in order to fully love in the name of Jesus. Kevin was not willing to gain the whole world to lose his soul.

Kevin is dearly missed by his loved ones who praise God for the blessing of a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandparent, and man who knew he was not man-made. His family is comforted that he is at peace with his Creator.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Jennifer Adams; his son, Aaron (Christi) Adams; his daughters, Lindsey Adams (Matt), Nicole (Doug) Finch, and Carlynn Swope (Dylan); his 8 grandchildren; his 4 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mikki Rausch and Gina (Jack) Brent; and his brother, Cline (Dawn) Adams.

He is preceded in death by his father, Warren Adams; his mother, Dorothy Duhig; his step-father, Ray Grupczynski; and his granddaughter, Kayley.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 5pm at Church of the Nazarene located at 14050 Ridge Rd, Sutter Creek, CA 95685.

The family gratefully declines flowers, however prayers, condolences, memories, and donations to Americans United for Life are gladly accepted.
