Kerry James Yount, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025 in his home. Kerry was born on April 26, 1956, to his parent James and Pauline Yount. He was a beloved Son, brother, uncle and friend.

He attended Warren Central High School and was in the graduating class of 1974. After high school he and his mother opened up a restaurant together. They not only made a living but built some of his fondest memories.

Kerry was passionate about gardening and cooking. You could find him outside most days tending to his flowers and vegetables. He loved spending time with his family whether that be a backyard barbecue or heading out on the boat with them to enjoy the water. When he wasn’t outside he could be found watching an old western or a race. What put the biggest smile on his face was being a prankster. He would find the latest gag gift to trick his nieces and nephews with when they would visit .

Kerry was preceeded in death by his parents, Pauline and James, his sister Kandy and his brother Mark. He is survived by his brother Terry.

He will be missed by many. Services will be held at Even If Church, 2625 Glenns Valley Lane, on July 12, 2025 at 11:00.
