Kermit's obituary

Kermit, 74 passed away peacefully surrounded by  family at BAMC on January 1, 2023. Kermit was a decorated veteran who served in Vietnam and spent another 20 years in the Air Force.  Kermit was born on May 5, 1948,  in Lafayette Louisiana to his parents Jules Myers &  Rose Sonnier . When he was just 18, Kermit decided he wanted to join the Air Force and was stationed at Randolph AFB in San Antonio. Kermit would go on to serve in Vietnam  and several other duty stations during his career.  During his time San Antonio he met and fell in love with  Sheila , who he soon married in 1978.  Kermit  completed 20 years with the Air Force and then 20 years in Civil Service.  Kermit was the greatest husband, father and grandfather and was a friend to everyone he met and was always there to help anyone in need.  Kermit was predeceased by Father, Jules Myers,  mother Rose Sonnier, sister, Marie Meche, Brother,  John Myers, brother Jerry Myers, brother Jules Myers, brother Louis Myers.  He is survived by his wife, Sheila Myers, daughter, Brandy Myers, grandson  Corbin Myers, granddaughter, Daniella Rocha, great grandson, Soren Myers.  Step mother, Theresa Myers, brothers,  Pat Myers, wife Sandra Myers, Mick Thibodeaux, Wayne Myers, wife Lisa Myers, Ricky Myers, Carl Myers, wife, Leona Myers, sisters, Janet Menard, Dianne Singleton, husband Billy Singleton, Debra Mestas, husband Andrew Mestas, Charlene LeBlanc, husband Floyd LeBlanc.  Several nieces and nephews. The Funeral was held at Funeral Caring USA, preceded by a service at Fort Sam Houston on January 19, 2023.
