Kenyon's obituary
Kenyon Archael Haye was born on August 17, 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts to his loving parents Pastor Neville and Clarena Haye. Kenyon’s arrival to this earth was completely unexpected. It was known as a miracle birth, because he was born three months premature, and he thrived while weighing only 2.5 pounds. From his miracle birth, and throughout his life, Kenyon has always exceeding all expectations.
Kenyon grew up surrounded and supported by his family and church community. Growing up, he enjoyed football (a New England Patriot fan), and wrestling. He graduated from Central High School in Providence, Rhode Island in 2001. After graduation, he continued his educational goals and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
Kenyon started his professional career employed by the State of Rhode Island Sheriff’s Department. During this season, Kenyon met his wife Aracelis Vazquez through their beloved friend Krystal. Their relationship progressed, and Kenyon and Aracelis were married on May 29, 2011. Together, they began their life’s journey, traveling and serving within their local and church community.
Throughout his professional career Kenyon also served as a Child Support Officer for the State of Rhode Island, and Blight Inspector for the City of New London in Connecticut.
Kenyon was dedicated to his brotherhood of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. The fraternity’s motto is: “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.” Their mission fit Kenyon’s vision and mission for serving others. He also became a founding member of the New London Alumni Chapter.
On April 9, 2015, Kenyon and Aracelis welcomed their beautiful daughter Kaylani Anaya, “Bugs” as her Daddy affectionately called her - she was the apple of his eye. Then, on July 4, 2018, their rainbow baby Kairos Re’uben was born. ‘Ros was truly his Daddy’s “firecracker” with a personality unmatched and unlimited.
In 2019, Kenyon and Aracelis were called to move their family to the Carolinas. Kenyon served as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Charlotte. Kenyon was: Trusted, Dedicated, and Loyal as he served in many capacities and disciplines. He was a: Minister, Musician, and provided community support and service.
Kenyon went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife, Aracelis; his daughter Kaylani; his son Kairos; his parents Pastor Neville and Clarena Haye, siblings Orville & Dana, Kenyada & Jermaine, Keniisha & Ron, his in-loves; Rubén & Maria Vázquez, Melissa & Calvin, Becky & Sammy and his 8 nieces and nephews.
