So many times I pick up the phone to call you to tell you something or want to send a meme to you and then I remember… you’re alive and well, just not here with us. It makes me stop and think about moments of you. 

Like that time some kid at the rec center was messing with me and Yada and you “put base in your throat” and he “found some act right” lol. Your solos on the base drum. Singing Christmas songs in Italian. That time we were talking about our childhood and I proclaimed with blessed assurance that “I wasn’t an annoying little sister”, and you all but swallowed your tongue to try to keep a neutral face lol. The time you lost a championship match and couldn’t hold back the sobs. Your first heartbreak. When you prayed and fasted because financial aid messed up and you thought you wouldn’t be able to attend school your freshman year of college, yet God prevailed.

It’s still difficult to digest that all I have is memories and no future ones can be made. But we do have a future in glory. That’s the hope I hold on to
