Kenneth's obituary

Dr. Kenneth Alan Weiner, 82, of Hilton Head, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2026.

Born in New York City on December 15, 1943, Ken spent his childhood with his parents and brother in the Bronx and Brooklyn, before moving to Cleveland, Ohio with his family. He attended the University of Michigan followed by the Chicago School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated top of his class.

Doc, as he was affectionately known, was a pioneer in the field of Emergency Medicine. He managed multiple Emergency Departments throughout Northeast Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Ken’s career also included owning medical staffing and billing companies and was credited as an outstanding physician, boss and mentor.

Dr. Weiner is preceded in death by his daughter Kelsey, his brother Bruce, and his parents Harold and Joan. He is survived by his wife Karen McQuade Weiner, his children Robert Weiner (Sherry), Jaime Misuriello, Kenneth Weiner (Hannah), Carrie Braun (Matthew), and his grandchildren Lacey, Casey, Lexi, Joseph, Evan, Leo, Cora, and Lilly.

Ken will be remembered for his deep love of family, golf, cigars and for being named one of the best dressed men in Cleveland by Cleveland Magazine.
