Mike's obituary

Kenneth Michael Weaver, known to many as Woody or Mike, a cherished resident of Lexington, SC, passed away at Prisma Health Richland on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at the age of 63. A memorial service, with military honors will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10am at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Family, friends, and those who knew him are invited to attend.

Born on Thursday, October 12th, 1961, in Youngstown, Ohio, Mike lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to his family, friends, and community.

Mike graduated from East Palestine High School in 1979 and then joined The US Navy where he retired after twenty years of service as a yeoman. During his time in the US Navy, he received various awards and accommodations. After retiring from the Navy, Mike eventually settled in Lexington, SC where he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and loved ones.

He is survived by his mother Sylvia Janice Weaver, Elloree, SC; his wife of twenty three years, Leslie Blume Weaver, Lexington, SC; two sons, Richard Michael Weaver(Carolyn), Irmo, SC and Bryan Mitchell Weaver(Sarah), Black Canyon, AZ; Stepdaughter Megan Elizabeth Manter, Lexington, SC and Stepson Matthew Stuart Manter(Emily), Columbia, SC; a brother, Robert Weaver(Ida), Jacksonville, FL and three grandchildren Izaya Angelus Valle, Irmo, SC, Daryn Matthew Weaver, Irmo, SC, and Abigail Grace Meadows, Lexington, SC.

Preceding him in death were his father, Harry Wayne Weaver as well as his sisters Sheryl Wallace and Karen O’Dell.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Mike’s memory to make a donation to a charity of their choice, ensuring that his legacy of generosity and kindness continues to impact others positively.
