Kenneth's obituary

Kenneth Paul Shepherd was born on December 7th 1953 in Sacramento California, to Paul and Virginia Shepherd. Ken was the beloved husband of Kathryn for 53 beautiful years they married on June 24, 1972 in Fair Oaks and together they raised their son and daughter through several parts of California before settling into Rio Linda. Ken was a proud grandfather of 2; and great-grandfather of 9, who brought him happiness.

He spent years of service with two mining companies, as well as 40+ years between both Applegate and Ozark Trucking Companies where he finally retired in 2020. He started his own law mowing business in 1983, his life long clients loved his work and the man he was; he held this business until his last client passed away. Ken's love for the outdoors started at the age of 5 when his mother would take him and his brothers camping for the entire summer after that came golfing and hunting. He had such a creative mind that he could not help but make his vision into reality. From building his grandchildren a swing set to helping his church build shelves and anything else needed. Ken loved going on cruises and traveling with his wife to explore the wonders of the world and occasionally other family members would join in on fun quests.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Davis, Paul Shepherd, and stepfather, Harve Davis.

Left to remember him are his wife Kathryn Shepherd, daughter, Tracy Shepherd-Hammond, his grandchildren Andrew S Harms Shepherd and Melissa Triplett; 9 great-grandchildren. Three biological brothers and 7 step siblings and other close friends.

The family would like to thank the members of The Crossing Church for the abundance of love and support they have shown. May God continue to Bless all of you.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Crossing Church, 1227 N Market Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95834, at 11am.
