  • Ken and I met in the summer of 1970 when he moved in down the street from us. We became best friends and that's how the story started!! Just to much to tell, our shenanigans and adventures are what movies are made from. He was my Best Man when Scotsy and I married in Austin and then became our roommate. Black Cadillacs are sliding side ways in Heaven and the Angels are throwing Silver Dollars in the air. You will be missed my friend, but the road goes on and the stories continue.

It is a pleasure to know Ken …

It is a pleasure to know Ken through his wonderful friend Jeanne.  We bonded through the love of music.  I will miss his optimism, free spirit, and love of life.  A delightful man who welcomed me into his home with open arms.

My heart aches for his daughter and son who loved him so much.  Heaven has gained a loyal soldier.  Rest in peace my dear friend Ken.  Love Martie

On the recommendation of a friend I hired Ken to rebuild my deck a couple of years ago.  He was an exceptional carpenter & did a great job on our deck.  He worked alone most of the time and was pretty slow but the work was excellent & I loved our talks at the end of the day when I would get home from work.  For him the best part of our job was that he could bring his dog to our house & she didn't have to go to doggie day care.  Rest in peace Ken & best to your family.
I’m so sorry for your loss.  I introduced Ken to my younger brother, David in the summer of 1969.  Ken’s sister, Renee and I were good friends and took summer jobs at Camp Zarahemla in Clintwood, Va.  Before long, Renee recruited Ken to come help with horse care.  A phone call to  Dave ( who was 15 and having a boring summer) resulted in him being allowed to come “help” at the camp as well.  They water skied, rode bareback, did “some” work snd had a wonderful time.  They returned together the next summer to the camp and were good friends until Dave’s death in 1974.  I’d lost touch with Ken but he was a free spirited but caring young fellow.  We enjoyed some lovely memories that summer
