Ken's obituary

Kenneth McBrearty, born to Robert and Gloria McBrearty in New Hampshire, is survived by his three younger siblings: Sharon McBrearty, Kathy Albright, and Michael McBrearty. Growing up in New Hampshire, Ken's adventurous spirit led him on a journey around the world. After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force and served as a navigator in Vietnam. Ken married Robin Lynn Williamson, and they welcomed their son Kevin McBrearty before parting ways amicably, setting a loving example for their family.

Throughout his life, Ken held various jobs until discovering his passion for traveling and demonstrating kitchen products across the country. With a cabbage leaf to stay cool and a warm smile, he charmed customers at fairs, flea markets, and grocery stores. It was during these travels that he met Linda Faith Newman, his lifelong love. Together, they explored the country and eventually settled on a homestead they purchased during the Georgia National Fair. Linda passed away in 2007, but Ken continued to embrace life's adventures, instilling a love for exploration in his daughter, Emma McBrearty.

In his final months, Ken cherished time on Cape Cod with Emma, embracing laughter and joy until his last day. A member of Houston Lake Presbyterian Church in Kathleen, Georgia, Ken's life will be celebrated with a service on April 18, 2024 at the church. His family plans to host a summer celebration of his life, honoring his legacy of love, laughter, and adventure.
