This obituary has been updated to include information on the two memorial services planned. If you don't want to click to thru for the info below, here it is again: There will be a memorial mass service at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church at 5205 43rd Ave, Hyattsville, MD at 11 AM on Saturday, March 30th, followed by a repast to be held at the Riverdale Park Town Hall located at 5008 Queensbury Rd, Riverdale Park at 12:30 pm. The New Jersey memorial is open to all who knew Laureys and will be held at the Knights of Columbus on Route 46 in Netcong at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 7th.

Obituary

Kenneth Richard Laureys, a native of Netcong, NJ, and longtime resident of Riverdale, MD, died on Wednesday, Mar. 20th after being struck by a motor vehicle while crossing a street. He did not regain consciousness and later passed away at the hospital. When the incident occured, Laureys was taking a walk during what was supposed to be a brief overnight stop in North Platte, NE, on a cross-country business trip. He was 63.
