Kenny's obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Lamberger Sr., aged 69, born January 10, 1938, departed from this life, November 13, 2007. He was a man known for his charisma, wit, and unwavering integrity, often remembered as the life of the party.

Kenny is survived by his loving family, wife Elizabeth Lamberger(Hopper), daughters Shelley Lamberger and Deborah LaCosse, grandchildren Mark Lamberger, James LaCosse, Gage Ray, Orion Head, Rilee Head, Drew Lamberger and Jules Lamberger. His legacy also lives on through his son, Brian Lamberger. He leaves behind 8 of his 9 brothers, his sister, many nieces and nephews.

Kenny was a proud attendee of the Carpenter and Millwrights 1510 Labor Union in Escanaba Michigan and held a significant position as a Board Member at the American Legion Post 105 in Phoenix, Arizona. He also enjoyed giving back where he could and did so with several other community members building the first and only BMX track in Ford River Michigan, where he was known to participate as a rider as well.  Through the American Legion he worked with Toys for Tots and St. Mary’s Food bank during the Holidays.

Kenny enjoyed a good drink, he was well known at local establishments, American Legions and Eagles Clubs in his area making many life long friends at these establishments.

He loved nostalgia, being from Detroit his favorite music dated back to the 1950's and 60's, Motown, and Bob Segar. He also enjoyed old westerns, documentaries, and the Discovery channel. A true Detroit Lions fan, he never missed a game. Often watching these games with his son Brian and son in laws Dan and Chad..

His life lessons were simple yet profound; stressing the importance of family, integrity, and respect for what one has.

Among his many accomplishments are a short stint in the Air Force, a lifelong union with Elizabeth Hopper since October 1962, his younger years he rode and traveled with the Detroit Renegades and Outlaws in which he was a Patch holder for both, he also was 1% patched,  his skills in building hot rods were a lifelong hobby, and his time as a Union Carpenter in Upper Michigan before moving to Arizona in 1986.

His resilience and integrity left a mark on every life he touched, and his handy contraptions brought joy to his family and grandchildren. From toy boxes, to side carts welded onto bikes, miniature golf courses and weed eaters/banana bikes turned into dirt bikes these memories and inventiveness will be forever missed.

Kenny's reminiscences, laughter, and life lessons will be missed, yet his legacy of resilience and integrity will forever resonate. As we remember Kenny, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with joy, love, and unforgettable memories.
