Kenneth's obituary
Kenneth Henry Jensen, 50, of Tigard, Oregon, sadly and unexpectedly passed away on August 13th, 2024, in Lincoln City, Oregon. Kenneth (Kenny) was born on May 8th, 1974, to Marie Elizabeth Jensen and Henry Emil Jensen in Portland, Oregon. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, he attended Tuality Junior High and graduated from Tigard High School in 1993. Kenny was known for his quick-witted humor, kindness, protectiveness, love for Metallica, and EPIC hair! He kept people smiling and laughing because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. But, above all else, he was a giver. He would give you his last dollar and expected nothing in return. Kenny spent most of his adult life living outdoors, a free spirit and wandering soul who liked his freedom and alone time. He was never one to live in one place for too long, and he traveled to many beautiful locations throughout his life. From fishing to exploring and riding his bike from town to town, Kenny once rode his bike all the way to San Diego, California, a testament to his adventurous spirit. In 1987, at just 13 years old, Kenny witnessed the birth of his first-born niece, a moment that brought him immense joy. Fast forward to 2003, Kenny and his siblings lost their mother to Cancer, and throughout her battle, Kenny was always by her side, showing his unwavering love and support. Over the last several years, he spent most of his time in Lincoln City, Oregon, volunteering within the community and helping those who needed it the most, where he also met many great friends who are now considered family. Kenny was preceded in death by both his parents, his stepfather Jerry Hurley, his grandparents, and his uncle William Kammer. He is survived by his son, Morgan Jensen, and his siblings, Phillip (Jeannette) Hurley, Freddy Hurley, Tina (Tom) Bischof (Jensen), Richard (Denae) Jensen, John Hurley, Patty (Kelly) Hurley-Reagan, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial/spreading of his ashes will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at 2pm, at the Red Bridge in Otis, Oregon, where he frequented over the last several years. The Red Bridge is located at 3649-3533 N North Bank Rd, Otis, OR 97368. This memorial is open to the public and everyone who wants to join and pay their respects.
