Kenneth's obituary
Kenneth Robert Furesz Sr., 70, of Roseville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 17, 1955, to Walter and Florence Furesz, Ken was the youngest of four children.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 32 years, Cheryl; his mother, Florence; his brother, John (Renee) Furesz; and his sister, Rose (John) Roberson.
Kenny is survived by his father and stepmother, Walter and Delores Furesz; sister Melinda (Jerome) Williams; his children, Shannon Fronczak, Michael Curtiss, Stacey (Matt) O’Herron, Jamie (Carlos) Daniel, and Kenneth “Rob” Furesz Jr. (Maria); and his cherished 14 grandchildren: Joseph (Johannah), Jonathan (Taylor), Jenna(Kyle), Bailey, Katie, Shawn, Aiden, Hunter, Coy, Leland, Gentry, Austin, Emory, and Jackson. As well as his great granddaughter, Delilah.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Kenny retired after 35 years as a manager with Big Boy Restaurants where he built many meaningful relationships . Kenny was known not only for his strong work ethic but also for his generous heart, and love of woodworking.
Kenny found joy in helping others and working with his hands. He was a talented woodworker who built things such as lighthouses, wishing wells, and cornhole boards. Among his proudest projects were the backyard playhouse and basement bedrooms he built for his grandchildren.
Kenny will be remembered for his kindness, quirky sense of humor, and the steady presence he offered to those around him.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Ken’s life will be held from 2-5pm on Sunday the 20th of July, 2025 at his home located at 26360 Compson, Roseville, MI.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that acts of kindness be performed in Kenny's memory, to honor the generous spirit by which he lived.
