Kenneth's obituary

Kenneth W. Fox, 67, of Buckeye AZ, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14th, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Edgewater, NJ, he was the son of Lawrence and Marie (Heaney) Fox. Kenneth was the devoted father of Owen Fox and his wife Marisa and partner of Elaine McCullough McCormack, with whom he shared 16 years before his passing.

Kenneth lived in NJ and graduated from the Fordham Preparatory School in Bronx, NY in 1973. Kenneth then attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where he was a proud ‘KAP’ brother, belonging to the Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. Kenneth received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from WPI in 1977 and continued his education at the University of Hartford where he received his MBA in 1985.

Kenneth traveled far and wide over the course of his career in the nuclear power industry receiving recognition and appreciation for his dedication and service to the industry and his peers. This includes recognition from the World Association of Nuclear Operators, The Millstone Nuclear Power Station in CT, The Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant in NH, The Watts Bar Nuclear Power Plant in TN, and The Palo Verde Generation Station in AZ.

Kenneth had a love of golf, Ireland, swimming, and a celebratory Connecticut wrapper cigar. He was an avid reader of military history and geopolitics. He was a lifelong music lover with eclectic tastes ranging from punk rock of the 70’s and 80’s to traditional Irish folk songs. He loved a project, could fix most anything with a trip to the local hardware store, and was always finding ways to bring joy to others through the sharing of unique momentos he would find along the way.

Kenneth loved and cherished his son, to whom he was affectionately known as D.A.D. He made it a priority to share every possible moment with his son and treasured extended golf trips with his son across the United States and Ireland.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Owen Fox and his wife Marisa Fox of Mill Valley, CA; partner, Elaine McCormack of Buckeye, AZ; brothers, Brian Fox of Brookline, MA and Donald Fox and his wife Colleen of Peoria, AZ; sisters, Eileen Fox and her husband Daniel of Ramsey, NJ and Monica Fox of Ramsey, NJ; mother Marie Fox of Mahwah, NJ; his inherited McCullough/McCormack family, Conor McCormack and his wife Stephanie of Reading, MA; Pat McCullough Dunn of Beverly, MA; Jerry McCullough and his wife Kathy of North Reading; Linda Cooper and her husband Paul of Boxford; Joanne Albarelli of Ruskin, FL.
